The Safe Space Club

In partnership with Stichting Together We Rise—an organization dedicated to supporting victims of sexual violence—we created The Safe Space Club. The unique selling proposition? The club consists of women who have personally experienced sexual violence, making it easier for victims to take the first step toward seeking help, often hindered by shame and guilt.

The Safe Space Club is a sanctuary. Calamity Jane developed a new name, tagline, and positioning, resulting in a fresh website. It doesn’t resemble a typical, serious help organization. With sleek design and bright colors, the brand exudes an unexpected coolness, radiating empowerment and positivity—exactly what victims of sexual violence need.

**THE SAFE SPACE CLUB AT MELKWEG**

Sexual misconduct is a no-go. When heading out, many people face this issue, especially when boundaries blur under the influence of alcohol and drugs. That’s where The Safe Space Club steps in, transforming Melkweg into a safe haven right from the entrance!
As you arrive, our friendly team will personally walk you through the house rules, highlighting that everyone plays a role in keeping the vibe positive:

- No inappropriate comments
- Hands to yourself
- Jump in if things go sideways

Got it? If you understand the house rules, you’re officially SAFE! You’ll even get a stamp to show you’re on board. Plus, our Safe Space Team will be roaming the club, keeping an eye on things and ready to help. If anything goes awry, they’ve got it covered!
